Martha Frances Headington was born on August 28, 1926 in Cave Ridge and passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 15, 2014. She was born in West Virginia to her parents Alfred Adolphus Harvey and Nellie (Fitzpatrick) Harvey, she was one of eight children. She lived in West Virginia until she met and married her Husband, Richard Eugene Headington on July 16, 1945, they then moved to Clare, Michigan and lived there for 65 years, in 2011 she moved to Gladstone, Michigan to be closer to her family. She worked several years at Thompson Foley Jewelry Store of Mount Pleasant, Michigan and Hicks Jewelry Store of Clare, Michigan. She loved to do flea markets, knit, crochet, put together puzzles, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her last two years were spent attending any and all events that she could for her great-grand children, she loved to cheer them on show her pride at all of their accomplishments. She was definitely their Biggest fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Headington in 2000, an infant son at birth, brothers Donald, Arvel, Clifford, and Alphie Harvey, sisters Elsie (Brandon) and Mertie (Adkins). Survivors include her son, Gary (Fran Murphy) Headington, Grand-daughter Lori (Paul) Shope, Grandson Rich (Rose Nadeau) Headington and her 5 Great Grand Children Kayla, Matt and Kelsey Shope and Dillon and Derek Headington all of Rapid River, Michigan. One brother Lloyd Harvey of Nimitz, West Virginia along with many nephews, nieces and cousins. Funeral Arrangements will be taken care of by Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home of Farwell, Michigan and Private Services will be held at a later date in Clare, Michigan.
