Mr. Fredrick J. King, age 71, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Poppen Residence. He was born November 22, 1947, in Muskegon to Harm and Doris (Bishop) King, and resided in the area all of his life.
Fred was a veteran in the National Guard. He worked at Miller Engineering for many years as a tool and die maker, prior to retiring. Fred enjoyed golfing, playing euchre at the Grand Haven Eagles, camping at Hess Lake, bowling and waterskiing.
Survivors include his daughter, Laura (Erik) Brokstad of Muskegon, and their daughter, Dylann who was the light of his eyes; two sisters, Linda (Gerry) Ridderman and Barbara (Dan) Bowen; longtime girlfriend, Teri Aldrich; niece, Julie; nephews, Jason and David; and golf buddy, Gordie Stockholm. Also, a special thanks to Fred’s neighbors, Roger and Judy Mackay.
A memorial visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 (tonight), at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100). Memorial contributions to Harbor Hospice will be appreciated. Share memories with the family online at www.sytsemafh.com.
