Connie Alexander Deal, age 92, of Spring Lake passed away from this life to life eternal on Monday, April 8, at her home surrounded by her immediate family. Connie was born November 21, 1926, in Kokomo, Indiana. She married Richmond T. Jones on May 26, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, and moved to Spring Lake 60 years ago.
She remarried Albert L. Deal on May 10, 1972, in Grand Haven, Michigan, and was employed as a teacher in hospitality at the Kent Skills Center in Grand Rapids. She was also well-known locally for her sales work in men’s and women’s fashion at several Grand Haven stores. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Grand Haven. She loved people, parties, fashion and travel. The joy of her life was being with her loving husband and surrounded by four sons and nine grandchildren.
She leaves the lights of her life, her four sons: Richmond (Cindy) H. Jones, Douglas H. Jones (deceased 2018), Craig (Yvette) H. Jones and Dr. Donald (Nikole) H. Jones; nine grandchildren: Alexandra, Quintin, Cliff, Marshall, Winston, Anisa, Nicolette, Hunter and Felix; and seven great-grandchildren.
