BRADEN, Earl `Dick' Jun 22, 1937 – Apr 12, 2019

FRANKFORT [mdash] Earl “Dick” Richard Braden, 81, of Frankfort, formerly of Interlochen, died Friday, April 12, 2019, at Paul Oliver Living and Rehabilitation Center in Frankfort. He was born June 22, 1937, in Traverse City, the son of Fred and Sadie (Rail) Braden.
Dick was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked as purchasing agent for Cherry Growers.
Dick was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, and he treasured the memories he made at the cabin with his friends and family, especially with his little brother.
Dick is survived by his son, Richard Braden, of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Micka Braden, of Traverse City and Elijah Braden, of Traverse City, and Shailene; his siblings, Fred (Erma) Braden, of Interlochen, Doris Maginity, of Thompsonville, Mary (John) Melvin, of Interlochen, and Gary (Linda) Braden, of Interlochen.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Marilyn Kitty Braden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah, with Pastor Ken Blair officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the Cherryland VFW Post #2780. Interment will follow in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City.
