Edward Leroy “Buddy” Dietrick, 74, Roscommon, died May 22, 2019, at home.
A service was held May 25 at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel.
He was born Oct. 4, 1944, in Ft. Wayne, IN, the son of Edward and Catherine (Kennedy) Dietrick. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He spent most of his life on his Markey Township property. He worked as a die setter/welder/hilo driver for SEMCO in West Branch. He enjoyed fishing, and was a movie buff. He also loved to read and work with coloring books.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Raymond Dietrick; and two sisters, Alma Rose Stradling and Mary Pegg.
Surviving Mr. Dietrick are his daughter, Rosebud Peters of Clare; two grandsons, Guy E. Peters and Scott C. Peters, both of Clare; sister, Frances (Lee) DeBaeke of Roscommon; and several nieces and nephews.
