Scott Ames Leonard, 50, Traverse City, died May 31, 2019, in Traverse City.
Cremation has taken place, by Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City, and there was no service.
He was born Aug. 24, 1968, in Kalkaska, the son of Gary and Ann Leonard. He graduated from Roscommon High School in 1986. He grew up at Higgins Lake and worked in sales and mortgages. Although at times he lived in other places, his love and home was Higgins Lake.
He enjoyed boating and any other activity on the water, as well as skiing, motorbikes, snowmobiling, car races, bike rides with his daughters and watching movies. His greatest love and joy were his two daughters, Meadow Ann and Brooklyn Michelle, and their mother, Amy.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Ezra and Eloise Williams; grandfathers, Jake Hansen, Clinton Leonard and Felix Buccellato; aunt, Jeanne Hawkins; and uncles, Gary Farr and Larry Dobson.
Besides Meadow Ann, Brooklyn Michelle and Amy, he is survived by his parents, Ann (Craig) Williams and Gary (Vicki) Leonard; sister, Shawn (Bob) Gulick; nieces, Lauren and Morgan Gulick and Taylor (Jake) Howard; nephew, Jacob Thayer; great-nephews, Grayson and Jackson; great-niece, Hanna; grandmothers, Susie Hansen and Nellie Smith; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
