Janet Anne Widdis, 71, Prudenville, died July 15, 2019, at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. July 20 at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel, with the Rev. Douglas Stockwell officiating. Visitation will be held beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery.
Born April 9, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of Albert and Anna (Green) Heintzelman. She grew up in the Harrison area and graduated from Harrison High School. She was a homemaker and worked at Walmart for more than 16 years after her daughters had grown. She was married Aug. 10, 1968, in Harrison, to Jerry D. Widdis. Following their marriage, the couple settled in Prudenville where they had lived for the past 50 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially time with the grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and step-mother, Alta Heintzelman.
Surviving are her husband of more than 50 years, Jerry Widdis of Prudenville; daughters, Heidi (Pat) Murray of Prudenville, Amy (Larry) Streeter of Coleman and Kara (Tony) Mead of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Colt, Macey, Morgan and Treysen; sister, Betty (Butch) Miller of Greenville; brother, Andy (Tanya) Heintzelman of Houghton Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
