She was born February 10, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Robert and Julia (Sopko) Mielke. Pat married Jerry L. Walter on February 10, 1984, and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2019.
Pat was a graduate of Messmer High School in Milwaukee. After moving to Michigan, she was employed by Molesta Floral in Grand Rapids as a florist. Pat was an artist who enjoyed making jewelry and working with stained glass. She attended many craft shows, where she enjoyed showcasing and selling her pieces of art.
Pat and Jerry enjoyed traveling the United States and went to all 48 states and the Baja Peninsula in their motor home. They spent an extended amount of time in Mexico in the winter, where many of their friends still reside. She also enjoyed knitting, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat will be remembered most for being a very giving person who was always willing to help young people in need.
