Norma Cabot, 89, passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Cabot; parents, George and Nadine Wenzel; daughter Jeanne Telfare; son George Cabot; and her sister Barbara Halliday.
She will be remembered and missed by her children, William Cabot, Thomas (Victoria) Cabot; son-in-law Willis Ronald Telfare III; daughters-in-law, Jennette Cabot and Olenka Hubickyj; grandchildren, Alex, Eric, Chase and Clara; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Norma was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed adventure through her many travels from Africa, Galapagos, Svalbard, New Zealand, Solomon Islands and many more. She was an avid bird watcher as well.
Norma graduated from Purdue University in 1950 with a 4.0 in chemistry and was offered a position at Johns Hopkins Medical School, but turned it down to marry her beloved Charles Cabot and raise a family with him. Norma’s philosophy was to choose happiness rather than bitterness.
In memory of Norma and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sierra Club, the National Audubon Society and the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.kubiakcook.com.
