Theresa Victoria Broberg of Wallace, MI died November 7, 2019, shortly before her 88th birthday at Tudor Oaks Senior Living Community in Muskego, WI. Theresa was born to Walter and Katherine Lusnia on November 20, 1931. She had one sister Carol (Harold) Pratt, who preceded her in death. She married Rueben Carl Broberg, Jr., of Stephenson, MI on April 24, 1954 when he returned from the Korean War. They moved to Milwaukee, WI where they raised their children, later retiring together on the Lusnia Farm in 1987. During retirement Theresa cared for her husband and parents until their deaths, and she enjoyed serving her community. She was active in the Church of Precious Blood as a catechist, organist, and eucharistic minister. If you didn’t see her at church she could be found behind the counter at the bakery or at the Community Action Senior Center in Daggett where she helped plan many of the special occasions offered to all her senior friends.
Theresa is survived by her four children, David (Marianne) Broberg, Germantown, WI;
Marilyn (Brian) Buck, Muskego, WI; JoAnn (Andrew) Dziennik, Muskego, WI; Jerry (Debi Lyman) Broberg , Milwaukee, WI; daughter-in-law Denise, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Along with her husband, parents, and sister, she was preceded in death by her dear friend, Walter “Tim” Lahay.
Visitation for Theresa will be Friday, November 22, 2019 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson, MI from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Father Don Loskot presiding. Burial will follow in Stephenson Township Cemetery.
