Lewis C. Henderson, 86, Prudenville, died July 27, 2020, at home.
Cremation has taken place and private family services were held.
Born July 29, 1933, in Byron, he was the son of Lewis and Annabelle (Stoner) Henderson. He grew up in the Byron area where he graduated from high school. He was married to Phyllis Jean Bailey May 19, 1958, in Byron. He worked as a millwright for General Motors at the Fisher Body Plant in Grand Blanc before retiring in 1992. He was a member of UAW Local 1292.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; son, Mark Henderson; stepdaughters, Linda Drabeck and Connie Kregger; brother, Frank Henderson; and sister, Carol Sawyer.
Surviving are his sons, Lewis Henderson Jr. of Manistee, Terry Henderson of Arkansas and Scott Henderson of Prudenville; stepdaughter, Irma Lurvey of West Branch; stepsons, Les Kreger of Arkansas, and Ronald Kregger of Arkansas; sister, Susanne Haddad of Las Vegas, NV; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are asked to be directed to the family.
Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel, handled the arrangements.
