Earl James Campbell, 77, died Aug. 4, 2020, at McLaren Bay Region, Bay City.
He was born May 28, 1943, in Port Huron, the son of Earl and Edna (Loughren) Campbell. Mr. Campbell served in the Army National Guard from 1965 to 1970. On May 7, 1966, he married Penelope Sutton in Dearborn.
Mr. Campbell worked at Ford Motor Company and moved to St. Helen in 2006 to enjoy retirement. He previously resided in the Canton and Dearborn areas. He was a member of American Legion Post #416 in St. Helen and the Houghton Lake Eagles. He enjoyed high school and college football and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Penny Campbell of St. Helen; sons, Scott (Lena) Campbell of Holly and Robert (Christy) Campbell of Lake Orion; grandchildren, Logan, Rensle and Madison; and sister, Linda (Glenn) Mohney of Hudson, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home, St. Helen.
