Clifford Allen “Bucky” Costley, 83, Fairhaven, MA, died Aug. 25, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a brief illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spina Bifida Association, 1600 Wilson Blvd., Ste. 800, Arlington, VA 22209 or www.spinabifidaassociation.org.

He was born in Midland, July 11, 1937, the son of the late Clifford and Harriet (Post) Costley. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served on the USS McGowan.

He was a 1956 graduate of Houghton Lake High School and was involved in of all the sports programs of that time.

Mr. Costley was employed as a welder with General Dynamics Electric Boat at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI, for more than 25 years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, loved the outdoors and was a good friend and father.

Preceding him in death was his son, Christopher Costley.

Surviving are his daughter, Denise M. Truver of Tiverton, RI; granddaughter, Aelish Truver; sister, Cara Ghidotti of Dade City, FL; two nephews, Bryan and Bradley Hall; niece, Stephanie Hall-Warner; and several cousins.
