Richard Thomas Kubik, 78, Prudenville, died July 31, 2020, at his home.
Military services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
Born June 13, 1942, in Detroit, he was the son of Frank and Nettie (Bieniek) Kubik. He grew up in Detroit where he graduated from high school. He served in the Army as a private first class from 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. After serving in the Army, he operated an auto repair facility and later worked as a truck driver for many trucking companies in the Detroit area. He was married Sept. 13, 2002, in Detroit, to Lorraine Mehalko, who preceded him in death in 2019. The couple moved to Roscommon County in 2004 from Detroit. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on motorcycles and cars.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Lorraine Kubik; and two sisters, Barbara and Dorothy.
Surviving is his daughter, Angela Kubik of Mount Morris.
Memorial contributions are asked to be directed to the family.
