Barbara Kaye Neumann, 83, Houghton Lake, formerly of Lansing, died Sept. 12, 2020, at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
Born July 15, 1937, in Lansing, she was the daughter of Carl and Laura Barrett. Over the years she held several different jobs including working as an usher at Gladmer Theater, a switchboard operator at the Lansing School District and later as a doctor’s office assistant. The “job” she was most passionate about was being a devoted wife and mother to her husband and family. She was so loving and always taking care of everyone around her. Some of her hobbies included snowmobiling, gardening, bird watching, reading and spending time in the company of those she loved.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband of 64 years, Larry “Skip” Neumann.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Carol) Neumann, Tere Geller and Laurie (Ryan) Petrowsky; grandchildren, Mickey and Taylor Neumann, Danny and Tommy Geller, Taraesha Campbell and Sharisa (Tom) Gustafson; great-granddaughters, Addison Campbell and Hazel Gustafson; brother, Bud (Carolann) Edwards; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to any veterans’ organization in memory of Mrs. Neumann.
Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel, handled the arrangements.
