Kenneth E. Campbell, 89, Roscommon, died March 29, 2021, at his home, in the presence and comfort of his family.
Visition will be held Saturday, April 3, from 1 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life service at 3 p.m. at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
He was born in Roscommon Nov. 12, 1931, the son of Freddie and Lulu (Thompson) Campbell.
He will be remembered for truly being an avid outdoorsman. He loved the woods and enjoyed hunting back in the day. He was known for being an extraordinarily talented self-taught musician.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1961, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. His time in the Air Force included peacetime service in Korea. He was larger than life and had a smart wit. Everyone loved to listen to him reminisce and share his fascinating stories.
He was a man of routine and was extremely dedicated to his career and family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, Fred Campbell.
Surviving are his daughters, Renee (Tom) Gilley-Gates and Roxann Campbell; grandchildren, Monique, Chelsey and Nash; great-grandchildren, Carter and Jack; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and greats.
Memorial contributions may be made to A-T Children’s Project, 5300 West Hillsboro Blvd., No. 105, Coconut Creek, FL 33073, in honor of his great-grandson, Jack.
