PESHAWBESTOWN – Sandra Lee Turner, 62, of Peshawbestown, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Munson Medical Center.
Sandy was born April 11, 1959 in Frankfort the daughter of Anton and Alvina (Cobb) Bailey.
Sandy had a smile that could light up a room and had a great sense of humor and was quick to crack a joke. Sandy loved sitting with her husband Billy and holding hands. She and Billy were long-time members of the Northport Indian Mission Church. Sandy was a strong person and held a deep faith in God.
Sandy loved yard sales and thrift stores. She would go shopping and try on goofy hats and take road trips with her family at a moment’s notice. Being with Sandy guaranteed a crazy time.
Sandy is survived by her love of 32 years, her husband, Billy Turner; three stepchildren, Billy Turner, Vicky Turner, Anthony Turner; four siblings, Doris (Walter) Lentz, Donna (Bob) Day, Lori Bailey, and Beth Champlain; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She also had a very close friend aka “sista” Lois Frank.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Peggy Jean VanFraley; and her four-legged fur baby of 12 years, her dog, Bandit.
Friends are welcome from 1 p.m. to the start of the 3 p.m. Celebration of Life on Friday, October 15 at Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. Pastor and close friend Sandy Bennett will officiate.
