Gerald S. Spohr of Hartland, formerly of Livonia, passed away March 31, 2023 at 88 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Carol. Loving mother of David (Gulia) Spohr, Barbara (Sean) Mattice, Dennis (Theresa) Spohr, Bob (Joanna) Spohr and Dan (Jackee) Spohr. Proud grandfather of Kenneth, Krissi, Matthew, Stacy, Alyssa, Devin and Nick along with several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephew, Paul (Amy) Spohr. Sadly, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Spohr.
Mr. Spohr graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Theodore Catholic Church in Livonia. In his earlier years he was a member of the ROTC and a track and field long jumper. He enjoyed gardening, working on his lawn, swimming, animals and a love for the many pets he had throughout the years. He loved to eat and always enjoyed a good meal. He will be very much missed by all.
A private cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
