Mark Alan Becker, 60, long-time resident of Grand Rapids, passed away after a fight with pancreatic cancer on Friday, May 19, 2023, in Crystal, Michigan surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was born in June 1962, to Gwen and Gene Becker in Ithaca, Michigan. Mark graduated from Ithaca High School and married his high school sweetheart and lifelong companion, Gina. During their 41 years of marriage, Mark and Gina made countless memories, which they shared with their six beautiful children.

Shortly after getting married, Mark and Gina found the Lord and centered their lives around living their faith.  After graduating from Michigan State University, Mark spent time working on political campaigns before eventually finding his calling as a technology consultant. Mark’s 35-year career in technology culminated in a partnership at C/D/H.

Throughout his life, Mark shared his passions for family, music, travel, and food with everyone around him. Mark and Gina filled their home with laughter and love, often punctuating the day with an extensive family dinner and boisterous games. They visited nearly all 50 states and several countries, creating memories and inside jokes with every trip. Mark sang with his sons in the Grand Rapids Choir of Men and Boys and led worship with his family at church.

Mark loved spending time with friends and family at their cottage and was always ready to learn a new game and pull kids tubing behind the speedboat. Mark enjoyed experimenting with adventurous recipes, often forcing his family to eat turkey soup or tea rings for weeks until he perfected the formula.  He has won countless chili cook-offs at church. Above all, Mark was known for his unimpeachable character, generous and welcoming nature, witty humor, and steadfast devotion to his faith and family.

Mark is survived by wife Gina, children Josiah (Margaret), Staci (Jacob), Bethany, John Mark (Clara), Danny (Katherine), and Noah (Kayla), grandchildren Liam, Jared, and Maddie, mother Gwen, sister Sheryl and family, and sister Cathy (Steve) and family. Mark is predeceased by father Gene and brother-in-law Greg.
