VIRGINIA L. ROEBER, 95, of Bay Port, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.
Virginia was born August 25, 1927 in Owendale to the late Wesley and Eliza (Crouch) Kain. She married George Roeber on August 24, 1946 in Bad Axe; he preceded her in death December 18, 2013. She was a homemaker and cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Bay Port United Methodist Church and enjoyed crafting.
Virginia is survived by her son, Robert (Carol) Roeber of North Carolina; grandchildren, Samantha Edgerton and Michael Roeber; great-grandchildren, Christian Henne and Patrick Henne; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Henne; sisters, Marvel Rievert, Beaulah Kretzschmer, Ruby Meissner, Olive Gooch, Shirley Rothfuss, Mildred Kain, Joyce Kain and Carol Dexter; and brothers, Maurice, Ralph and infant Edward.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 19 at the Bay Port United Methodist Church with Rev. Heather Nowak officiating. Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Thursday in church. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
